A 45kW Herz Pellet-star boiler including a 1,000 ltr buffer tank, manufactured to specific dimensions (due to size constraints).

CHP Mechanical Services were approached by Dr David Johnston to design, supply and install a biomass heating system in Maine Medical Practice, Cullybackey.

The existing site presented a challenging environment for CHP Mechanical Services as there was limited space for the biomass installation and downtime was not an option for the practice. CHP Mechanical Services set in motion a programme of works (including building works, electrics and liaising with Building Control throughout the installation) to complete the new biomass system without any disruption to the practice.

The new Herz biomass System was fully installed within six weeks from order date. Maine Medical now has a highly efficient and cost effective heating system which does not rely on fossil fuel. They can also avail of twenty years’ grant payments from the government incentive to encourage businesses to switch from fossil fuels.

“CHP Mechanical Services designed, installed and commissioned a biomass heating system for our health centre utilising existing space within a difficult site. We were delighted with the result, the excellent workmanship and heat.”
